Spin Up Girl humbly began by offering handspun yarn at a small shearing event at a friend’s farm. It’s since grown to include hand-carded art batts and hand-dyed combed top at local fiber festivals and now online.

Crystal Hesser is the creative brains behind Spin Up Girl. She fell down the fiber art rabbit hole almost 15 years ago. She’s a spinner, knitter, crocheter, occasional weaver, embroiderer, dyer and prepper of fiber. However, her specialty is spinning. Spin Up Girl yarns range from traditional plied yarns to wild and whimsical art yarns. Crystal’s playful spirit is infused in everything she creates. Always eager to pass along her knowledge, she’s a regular contributor to PLY Magazine and teaches every opportunity she gets.
